Yoga found me in high school after a gymnastics injury took me out of the competition circuit. Immediately I fell in love with the power I felt in my body, connecting to the deepest levels of internal control. It wasn’t until college I opened my first yoga scripture and truly fell in love with the art of yoga.

I believe in the intersectionality of our big, beautiful, complex lives and designed The Balance as way to embrace the ancient wisdoms of yoga for modern living. Yoga is a practice of self study and the more clearly we see ourselves the more empowered we are to show up fully in our every moment.

 Your Balance is about more than your daily asana practice. It’s so incredibly exciting to feel the changes in your life when you nourish yourself—mentally, physically, and spiritually. This practice fosters a deeper connection to the world around us, grounding us in the now.

meet miles 

Miles is the Head of Operations and our retreat photographer, the steady hand behind everything you won't have to think about. Schedules, meals, transitions, the small details that make a day flow, that's all Miles, working quietly in the background so you can stay fully in your practice. And with a camera always close by, he's also the one capturing the moments you'll want to hold onto long after you've gone home.

Maggie is the Studio Lead and a fellow teacher at Black Swan Yoga in Denver, and a core part of The Balance team. As our trusted coordinator, she's the one making sure every piece of your experience fits together, from the moment you arrive to the moment you head home.

Whether it's answering the questions you didn't know you had, smoothing out the day's flow, or simply being a steady, friendly presence on the mat and off, she's here so that nothing pulls your attention away from your practice. Her gift is making people feel genuinely taken care of, and you'll feel it the second you meet her.

From logistics to laughter, you'll be fully held every step of the way.
