Everyday Green Smoothie

The Green Smoothie

Your everyday go-to for glow.

Jun 3, 2025

This green smoothie is something I’ve drank religiously for almost seven (!!!) years. I can always tell if I’ve missed a few days, because I get so lethargic and feel my energy levels waning.

Though I try to have it in the morning before my workouts, I find it’s the perfect compliment to any meal, anytime of day, that isn’t as packed with veggies.

Nutrition at the bottom. Happy sips!

THE RECIPE

Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 cup spinach

4 large kale leaves

1/2 head of romaine

1 apple, cored

1/4 inch ginger root

1/4 inch turmeric root

Any fruit going bad in your fridge

Juice of 1 lemon

Handful of ice

Directions:

  1. In a high speed blender, layer ingredients from soft to hard (lettuce at the bottom, ginger & ice on top) and blend together until smooth. Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for up to two days, freezer for up to three months.

*** This is a green smoothie. It is meant to taste like leafies. Adding a ton of fruit, or reducing the amount of veg, adds more sugar and reduces the fiber. This increases glucose spike while reducing the ability for your body to process it.
