Summit
Mount Yale, is a 14,196-foot peak in Colorado’s Sawatch Range nestled within the San Isabel National Forest. This Class Two fourteener holds sweeping views of the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness and the lush Arkansas River Valley, making it an essential destination for adventurers.
The area surrounding Mount Yale is filled with hiking trails that cross alpine meadows, ancient forests, and rocky ridgelines, offering many options for our weekend. Nearby Buena Vista offers charming small-town vibes, while Mount Princeton Hot Springs will provide us with a tranquil retreat between hikes with geothermal pools surrounded by views.
Blending the challenge of an iconic summit with opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation, Mount Yale and its surrounding landscapes offer a perfect balance of adventure and serenity for us to connect with Colorado's awe-inspiring wilderness.

Step into the Colorado Rockies with Olivia and The Balance Community for a transformative retreat that blends adventure, movement, and deep relaxation. Each day begins with a morning yoga flow on an outdoor deck, surrounded by panoramic mountain views.
Our sunrise hike up Mount Yale offers the thrill of summiting one of Colorado’s iconic "14ers," with sweeping views of the vibrant forests and crystal-clear streams. The climb challenges you to push your limits while connecting with the raw energy of nature.
Afterward, we’ll unwind in the mineral-rich hot springs of Mount Princeton, letting the warmth soothe our muscles. Evenings are dedicated to restorative yin yoga, releasing tension and grounding the day’s experiences.
This retreat is about more than personal discovery—it’s a chance to connect with fellow adventurers in a supportive community. You’ll leave feeling recharged, reconnected, and inspired, carrying the balance of challenge and peace back into your daily life.

In late June, Mount Yale experiences pleasant weather - sunshine and a few afternoon rains. Temperatures average around 76°F/43°F.
On the summit (over 14,000 feet), temperatures will be cooler, so layering is key for our hiking.
Afternoon showers are possible.

Not at all. While THE BALANCE retreats are always structured to included breaks for free time to journal, rest, or keep socializing if you choose, nothing is mandatory and you can take time to yourself as you need. This is your time to recharge.
