01 — The Standard
Why this D3 + K2.
The same house standard runs every SKU: the right form, an honest dose, full disclosure, clean and tested. On a two-ingredient dropper, there's nowhere for a shortcut to hide.
/ 01
Right forms
D3 as cholecalciferol — the form the body actually uses — and lichen-derived, so it skips lanolin entirely. K2 as MK-7, the long-acting menaquinone with the human-trial record behind it.
/ 02
Honest dose
2,000 IU of D3 per dropper — a real maintenance dose you can titrate — alongside a full 120 mcg of MK-7. No fairy-dust 10 mcg of K2 just to earn a second name on the panel.
/ 03
The right pair
D3 and K2 are a mechanism, not a bundle. D3 raises how much calcium you absorb; K2 activates the proteins that route it into bone. Sold apart, each does half the job.
/ 04
Clean & tested
MenaQ7® K2 and lichen D3 in organic MCT oil, kept fresh with mixed tocopherols. Two actives, one carrier, one antioxidant — third-party tested, certificate of analysis (COA) per batch.
02 — What It Does
Graded by the evidence, not the marketing.
Vitamin D and K2 are two of the better-studied micronutrients, but not every claim made for them carries equal weight. Here's where the research actually stands — strongest first.
How it works
Vitamin D3 is converted to 25-hydroxyvitamin D, the circulating form that raises how much calcium you absorb from food. K2 (as MK-7) then activates two proteins — osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein (MGP) — that bind that calcium into bone and help keep it out of soft tissue. D3 opens the door; K2 directs the traffic.
-
The strongest evidence: D3 supports calcium absorption, and K2 carboxylates the osteocalcin that binds calcium into the bone matrix. For maintaining normal bone, this is the claim the data supports best.
-
Through matrix Gla protein, K2 is studied for keeping calcium in bone and out of arterial walls — a three-year MK-7 trial reported improved arterial flexibility. Promising, and still maturing.
-
Vitamin D receptors sit throughout the immune system and muscle, and adequate D status is linked to their normal function. An active research area — we'll move it up a tier when the data does.

Two rows. One carrier. Nothing to hide.
No emulsifier system, no flavor to mask, no shell to list — just the two vitamins, the oil that carries them, and the tocopherols that keep them fresh. A short panel is the most honest thing a supplement can print.
Vitamin K note: if you take an anticoagulant such as warfarin, talk with your clinician before use — K2 affects how it works. This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
04 — Over Time
You don't feel a dose. You raise a level.
Vitamin D isn't a stimulant and won't read like one. It works by raising what your blood carries in reserve — your 25-hydroxyvitamin D — and a level climbs gradually, then holds. Status, not stimulation. That's the brand in two molecules.
Day 1
The level starts to move
Each dropper adds D3 to circulation, where it converts to 25-hydroxyvitamin D. There's nothing to feel on day one — and that's exactly right.
Weeks 8–12
Your 25-OH-D finds its plateau
On a steady daily dose, serum vitamin D climbs over roughly two to three months to a new set point and levels off. That plateau is where the benefit lives.
Ongoing
Held there — with K2 alongside
One dropper a day maintains your status indefinitely, while K2 keeps directing the calcium that better D status helps you absorb. No cycling, no breaks.
No loading, no cycling. One dropper daily raises and holds your vitamin D status on its own — and the K2 rides along in the same drop.
How to use
One full dropper (1 mL) daily, with a meal that contains fat — both vitamins are fat-soluble.
Any time of day. Consistency matters far more than timing.
Store cool and out of direct light; the amber glass protects the K2.
Stacking with the multis
Continua AM and Continua PM each carry 25 mcg (1,000 IU) of D3. Add one Lumen dropper and a full daily stack reaches 100 mcg (4,000 IU) — the established tolerable upper limit, by design, not by accident. Take Lumen on its own, or alongside the multis; either way, there's no reason to layer additional D3 on top.
/ FAQ
Good questions, plain/clear answers.
-
MK-7 stays active in your body far longer than MK-4 — long enough that one dose a day keeps your levels steady. MK-4 clears in about an hour and needs heavy, repeated dosing to do anything. For a once-daily supplement, MK-7 is the form that makes sense.
-
Because they're a system, not two separate add-ons. D3 helps you absorb calcium; K2 helps put it where it belongs. Taking one without the other leaves the job half-done.
Because they finish each other's work. D3 increases how much calcium you absorb; K2 activates the proteins — osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein — that steer that calcium into bone and help keep it out of arteries. Taking D3 without K2 raises calcium without fully directing it. Pairing them is the entire point of this SKU.
-
Yes. It pairs naturally with calcium, magnesium, and most daily stacks. As always, if you're on medication or pregnant, check with your clinician first.
-
Yes. The D3 is lichen-derived, not lanolin (sheep's wool), and the softgel itself is plant-based. Vegan top to bottom — which is rarer in a D3 product than you'd think.
Every ingredient is non-animal: D3 from lichen rather than lanolin, MK-7, MCT oil, and tocopherols. It's suitable for vegetarians and vegans — we simply haven't added a certified-vegan claim to the panel yet.

-
Two reasons: it lets you titrate the dose drop by drop, and it needs no shell — which means the shortest possible panel. Both vitamins are fat-soluble, so an MCT-oil base taken with food absorbs cleanly. The amber glass keeps light off the K2.
-
Yes — with one number to keep in mind. Continua AM and PM carry 25 mcg (1,000 IU) of D3 each; one Lumen dropper adds 50 mcg (2,000 IU), so the full stack lands at 100 mcg (4,000 IU) — the established daily upper limit. That ceiling is intentional. Just don't stack additional D3 beyond it.
-
If you take an anticoagulant such as warfarin, talk with your clinician first — vitamin K2 can affect how that medication works. If you're pregnant or nursing, or managing a medical condition, check with your clinician before adding any new supplement — sensible advice for anything you start.
